About Us & Your Stay
When we took over the site, it had become overgrown with non-native species and rhodedendrans. Taking advice from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust we cleared a proportion of the invasive specimens and have embarked upon a plantation scheme of traditional English woodland species. Additionally, parts of the site have been left unmanaged in order to protect and enhance the varied wildlife that live within the woodland, and ensure that their habitat remains undisturbed.

Architect designed and hand built by the owners, this modern retreat takes inspiration from its surroundings and the wildlife on site. Built to enhance the setting, the lodge is located on the edge of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The woodland location is idylic, your own private Eden and the master suite balcony is wonder for gazing over the tree canopy.
